Rick Fromberg continues a highly successful 15-year career marked by building and guiding campaigns, organizations, and governments using new and innovative strategies. He most recently led Mayor Bill de Blasio’s successful re-election campaign, the first Democratic Mayor to be elected to a second term in over 30 years. He previously managed Steve Bellone’s 15-point victory for Suffolk County Executive and led Glenn Nye’s come-from-behind challenger victory, becoming the first Democrat elected to represent Virginia’s second district in 20 years. Rick also worked for Hillary Clinton in 2016, where he came in to oversee GOTV operations in the pivotal New York Primary that clinched her nomination, and went on to work as a National Regional Director responsible for Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia in the general election.
Rick led the de Blasio administration’s outreach efforts to launch its historic Universal Pre-K initiative. He then went on to serve as a Senior Advisor in City Hall where he created the nation’s first Public Engagement Unit.
Rick also worked as Vice President for Public Affairs at Global Strategy Group and held senior roles at the Sierra Club, Wal-Mart Watch, and numerous political campaigns. In his spare time, Rick considers himself a pre-award winning playwright and frequently complains about the Knicks on Twitter.
